Important Dates for Admission

Open House
Open House provides an excellent opportunity for students and their families to experience the tradition of excellence in multiple aspects of life at Marquette Catholic High School. Our guests have the opportunity to tour our campus and meet many members of the Marquette community, including our students, parents, teachers, coaches and staff.

We welcome students at any grade level to our Open House. Families do not need to pre-register to attend.

Our next Open House is scheduled for Wednesday, November 3, 2010 @ 6:00 p.m. in The Richard & Louise Scholl Student Center.

The High School Placement Test
The test is given to prospective 8th grade students considering Marquette Catholic for their high school.

We use the test for placement purposes and there is not a minimum score required for acceptance. The placement test is part of the admissions process and is required by all freshman applicants.

For the class of 2015 we are offering the test on Saturday, December 4, 2010 @ 9:00 a.m.

Students should arrive no later than 8:50 a.m. The test begins promptly at 9:00 a.m. and takes approximately 3 hours.

Shadow for a Day
Any 8th grade student interested in attending Marquette Catholic High School has the opportunity to come visit for a day of classes. This is an excellent opportunity for the student to experience a day in the life of a Marquette freshman while spending the day with a current freshman.

During a student's 8th grade year, contact Jennifer Quinlan, Director of Advancement 219.873.1325, ext. 229 to schedule a shadow date.

Visiting 8th graders may request a current Marquette freshman as the host student. If a host student is not requested, a Student Ambassador will be selected whose areas of interest and/or academic abilities may be compatible with the visiting student.

Visitors are asked to meet their host student in the Main Office (immediately inside the main entrance of Marquette Catholic High School) by 7:23 a.m. and be picked up inside the main entrance or curbside at 3:00 p.m. We prefer that visiting students spend the entire day; however, prospective students are not permitted to attend before or after school athletic practices.

Visitors should wear clothing suitable for school. No jeans are permitted unless your student is scheduled to visit on a designated "jeans day." Sport shoes such as sneakers, tennis shoes, etc. are permitted. Students should bring lunch money (approximately $3-5) or pack a lunch.

We look forward to having students visit Marquette Catholic High School, home of the Blazers!
