October is...Respect for Life month:

Weekly All-School Mass is celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Thursdays at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception - please join us if you can. This week we are hosting 8th grade students from Notre Dame at our celebration. Father Terry Chase will be our celebrant. (No Mass fall break Thursday-October 23rd.)
Feeding The Spirit: We are currently seeking adult and student volunteers to work at the Men's Shelter, Sacred Heart, on Wednesday evenings from 6-8:30. Please contact Mrs. Luegers in our main office at 219-873-1325 if you can assist on a few Wednesdays. This is a school-wide service project.
Dig for a Cure: Breast Cancer fundraiser at the volleyball match on October 20, at the Scholl Center beginning at 5:30 p.m. All monies raised will go directly to assist our partner in education - St. Anthony Memorial Hospital Women’s Health Center to provide mammograms for woman who otherwise could not afford them.
On November 11th beginning at 11:00 a.m. Marquette Catholic High School will be honoring all Korean War veterans with a presentation organized by Mr. Dick Schaefer and his Social Studies students in the gymnasium of the Richard & Louise Scholl Student Center. A reception will follow in library. Please know that spouses and family members are also invited. If you are planning to attend, please call the school (873-1325) and leave a name and number--someone will return the call with more details.

- Sadies Dance: Friday, October 17-Seeking Chaperons to join Mr. White. The dance begins at 8:00 p.m. in the Scholl Center and ends at 11:00 p.m. Please remind students about dress and respect for one's self and their friends.
- OPEN HOUSE: 6-8 p.m. November 5th-We are asking all current families, alumni, and PROSPECTIVE families to join us for an informational evening at Marquette Catholic for our 2008 Open House. The event will begin with a welcome from Bishop Melczek and comments concerning Catholic Education. I will speak briefly on academics and future planning, and a few additional guests will be joining our oral presentation. Teachers, Directors, and staff members will be in attendance and students will promote and advertise various aspects of student and faith life. We hope you can join us.
