"This semester, we will be offering a credit-based Fundamental Culinary Arts Program for our students. This (16) week class will be offered at The Cracked Egg Cooking School in Michigan City one day a week. Two time slots will be offered, Friday morning and Friday afternoon. Class period will be 1 1/4 hours.

This introductory culinary course will address many important facets of cooking with emphasis on culinary techniques and terms, sanitation, pantry prep, recipe knowledge, meal planning with a contemporary emphasis on nutrition and practical, hands-on preparation. We will explore a variety food careers available to those who enter this exciting field of food science. Students will not only learn the fundamentals of cooking but will gain valuable life skills and possible career directions."
