Hotel Reservations for Volleyball State Tournament
Marquette Parents & Fans-
It is an exciting time for Marquette Catholic Volleyball. The team is on a run for their 9th State Championship and 6th in a row. After a dominating Sectional Championship win this past weekend, we are looking forward to this weekend's Regional Championship in Caston and are already preparing for the State Championship competition on November 7th in Muncie.
Every year we are fortunate to have a big crowd of supporters, pack our side of the gym during State Championship play. If we win Regionals next weekend, we are scheduled to play our first game at 9:30 a.m. CST on Saturday, November 7th with the Championship game scheduled for 1:30 p.m. CST. Due to the later start time, we are encouraging student fans to make the trip to Ball State on Saturday morning. Leaving Michigan City between 5:30 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. will allow enough time for a safe trip to Muncie. This recommendation is coming from prior year's experience. Our effort is to reduce the number of unsupervised students staying in Muncie overnight.
If parents and students wish to make the trip Friday night, Marquette is requesting that parents stop by the main office to fill out paperwork letting the school know which hotel you are staying at, which students will be staying with you, and contact phone numbers. Below is a list of recommended hotel options. The team is staying at the Hampton Inn so we please ask you not to make reservations there. We are trying to reduce distractions for the girls and provide a quiet sleep environment so that they can play their best ball for us on Saturday.
We are looking forward to this being a great time for everyone and an opportunity for Marquette Catholic to shine at the State level. In order to ensure the safety of all our students, please do not let your student make the trip unsupervised. We need your help to protect the students choosing to participate in this event.
