MOST REVEREND DALE J. MELCZEK TO BE PRINCIPAL FOR THE DAY AT MARQUETTE CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL

Michigan City, Indiana - November 19, 2010 - Marquette Catholic High School Principal Mr. James G. White announces today that Most Reverend Dale J. Melczek, Bishop of the Diocese of Gary, will be Principal for the Day on December 8, 2010.

Bishop Melczek will visit with teachers and students both in and out of the classroom and have the opportunity to have discussions pertaining to curriculum and faith development.

Mr. White states, "It is important for Marquette Catholic High School to open our doors to individuals who guide us in our decision making.  We are blessed to have Bishop Melczek leading the way for us as we advance the vision and mission of our school.  And I cannot think of a better way to share with him what we are doing here on the east side of the diocese.  As the first Catholic high school in Northwest Indiana and the only Catholic high school in LaPorte County we have an obligation to enhance our longstanding tradition of excellence and faith in education and with Bishop Melczek's knowledge and guidance that is inevitable.  We are excited to welcome him on December 8^th and our teachers and students are anxious to share the Marquette experience with him."
