THE FEAST of SAINT FRANCES of ROME

Looking at the exemplary life of fidelity to God and devotion to her fellow human beings which Frances of Rome was blessed to lead, one cannot help but be reminded of Mother Teresa of Calcutta, who loved Jesus Christ in prayer and also in the poor. The life of Frances of Rome calls each of us not only to look deeply for God in prayer, but also to carry our devotion to Jesus living in the suffering of our world. Frances shows us that this life need not be restricted to those bound by vows.

As of today, 100% of our senior class has been accepted to a post-secondary placement. This is very exciting news. The senior parents and students should be very proud of this accomplishment, especially at such an early date. Mrs. Mark and Mrs. Donnelly have done an awesome job in this area!!  Their work is only beginning now as they prepare to assist in securing scholarships, awards, and additional financial assistance.
Congratulations!!!

Spring Fling 2010
PLEASE HELP SUPPORT THE EVENT!
As you know, on the evening of March 13, 2010, parents, family and friends of Marquette Catholic High School will gather and celebrate the 2010 Spring Fling at The Allure in LaPorte . This event is made up of a live and silent auction and dancing and has a goal to raise $65,000 that will support our children.

In order to be a success, we need your help.  Due to multiple requests and time constraints, we cannot always count on donations from businesses and individual donors.  Therefore, we are asking for monetary donations from our parents, to enable auction chairpersons to purchase fill-in items for the event.  A gift of $20 per family would be sincerely appreciated and if you can give more, we would be most grateful.

We know we ask often for your assistance, but without it would could not achieve our goal.

We truly appreciate any assistance you can provide and we look forward to seeing each of you on the 13th.

For more details, contact Jennifer Quinlan or 219.873.1325, ext. 229.

With Prayerful Thoughts
hands at Mass

Remember, O most gracious Virgin Mary, that never was it known that any one who fled to thy protection, implored thy help, and sought thy intercession, was left unaided. Inspired with this confidence, I fly unto thee, O Virgin of virgins, my Mother, to thee I come, before thee I stand sinful and sorrowful. O Mother of the Word Incarnate! despise not my petitions, but, in thy mercy, hear and answer me.   Amen.
