Case for Support
The 2007-2008 Annual Fund Campaign,
Light the Way,
has a goal to raise $110,000. The $110,000 will support tuition
assistance, new opportunities and unexpected challenges at Marquette.
While the campaign will look to a broad base of external funders to
provide gifts, we will also look for an “internal investment” from the
members of the Marquette family: students, parents, alumni, board members,
faculty and staff. Such investment will, in fact, play a key role in
leveraging external support. With over 4,000 alumni, we are confident that
the generous commitment of those closest to the school serves as a major
endorsement, and sends the powerful message to prospective donors that
Marquette Catholic High School is worthy of their investment.
The Marquette Catholic High School
Annual Fund Campaign has been organized to become the cornerstone of our
development program. It will support our families and enhance our programs
while maintaining the quality Catholic education that is the Marquette
tradition. In order to sustain our leadership position as an exemplary
Catholic high school in Northwest Indiana, Marquette Catholic High School
needs a major influx of financial support.
Just as costs escalate in every
aspect of life, tuition for families is becoming more and more of a strain
on their resources. This year, Marquette will provide a little over
$84,060 in tuition assistance to 38% of the students. However, the actual
need totals $187,960. Gifts from the Annual Fund Campaign will afford
students the opportunity to learn, grow and perform in ways that they
otherwise would not be able to if they did not attend Marquette Catholic
High School. Contributions will allow Marquette Catholic to continue to
offer a competitive and challenging curriculum. Our programs are designed
to challenge students and provide them with the ability to think, question
and understand. Our dedicated and professional faculty and staff encourage
each student to reach the heights of their God-given talents.
