Marquette Catholic High School, founded in 1886, is the oldest Catholic High School in Northern Indiana.  For 122 years, this coeducational community has been at the forefront of education in preparing students for college and for life.  Marquette maintains a position in the top 7% of all schools in the state of Indiana and annually received an exemplary rating.

The Mission
Marquette Catholic High School is an educational community that promotes academic excellence rooted in Gospel values and that Catholic faith.  We are an institution that values each student as an individual with unique intellectual, spiritual, emotional, physical and social needs.  As such, we are also committed to maintaining and extending a welcoming spirit to students of all religious traditions.  Our goal is to challenge our students academically, to deepen their faith and thus enable them to responsibly serve their families, civic and church communities.

As a means of fulfilling our mission, the entire Marquette community will always seek to maintain focus on the core values of faith, honesty, leadership, respect and service.

Faculty
Marquette Catholic High School employs 25 staff members, including 18 teachers – the majority holding Masters’ Degrees in a variety of disciplines.  The average class size is 15 and the student to staff ratio is 8:1.

Diploma Requirements
To qualify to receive a Marquette Catholic High School College Preparatory Diploma, students must meet Marquette Catholic’s academic graduation requirements and the State of Indiana’s Core 40 expectations for a total minimum of 50 credits.  With one credit equaling one semester, the College Preparatory Diploma issued by Marquette Catholic High School requires the following:

Transcript Information
Marquette Catholic High School’s academic year is divided into two semesters with the official grades reported late January and late June.  Weighted courses are identified on individual transcripts.  Drivers’ Education, Correspondence and summer courses are not used to calculate the GPA.
