a college preparatory school

In preparation for the launch of one-to-one technology for 2017-2018 school year, Marquette Catholic High School has applied for and received approval from the State of Indiana to conduct VIRTUAL LEARNING DAYS (VLD).  Moving forward, if/when we experience inclement weather and determine it is necessary to cancel classes, school will be in session and students will be expected to complete assignments at home and submit them electronically.

The following parameters apply to a VLD:
* Teachers will post daily assignments via Edline, or distribute electronically, by 9:00 AM. Assignments are expected to be aligned with existing lesson plans, should school be in session.
* Students must email their 4th hour Homeroom teacher by 9:00 AM. This serves as attendance. If not completed, student will receive an unexcused absence for the day.
* All assignments must be completed and/or submitted by 4:00 PM.
* Teachers will be available to students via email from 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM, should they need assistance.

The ability to conduct VLDs allows for continuity in classroom learning when inclement weather prevents physical presence at school, and eliminates, "snow make up days" from the school calendar.

Virtual Learning Day

In everything we do, we believe in challenging the traditional way of educating our students. We believe in thinking critically and inspiring them to do the same. We do this by encouraging them to be driven, to be global, to be passionate, to be connected, to find faith, to discover God and to work for the Common Good. We ask our students to embrace high expectations, to become exceptional and, ultimately, change the world.     #moreatMQT
